The architects called upon Print acoustics Timber panels for correcting reverberation in several locations : first of all in the monumental entrance hall for the reception zone, then on the walls of the spiral connection in the patio, on the walls in the cafetaria , in the meditation area and last but not least on the backwall of the auditorium where they integrated Led lights/ sliding acou absorption doors.

In 2007  the architect consortium   AAPROG-BOECKX-B2Ai  won the ambitious design tender of the Healthcare Eastcost Belgium VZW.  They had to develop a new health complex  in Knokke-Heist for total care.

More than a decade later, in march 2018,  patients , docters and personnel will enter the new facilities.  The building itself  represents a white cloud that drifts on a flat nature environment.
Ceci n’est pas un hôpital –refers to the belgian surrealistic artist René Magritte, it means also that htis building does not feel like a hospital but more like a comforting and and an open state-of-the-art care taking center,  that inspires and that is embedded with licht, nature, warmth and imagination.

The concept of Total Care  comprehends a hospital, a revalidation center, a care hotel, a poly clinic, a auditorium , an meeting center and a Heliport, this implanted on 12000m² of area.

The good collaboration between builder , architects, contractor (Strabag ) and installers acou panels (Vanver en Convents products) and manufacturer Triplaco resulted in the installed panels by November 2017 long before the  opening in spring 2018.

This realisation in a high end health care complex is a nice complement in the most diverse public and private projects where Print acoustics has been installed:

administrative centra  (eg AC Leiespiegel, Tony Fretton architects)  ,

congress centra  (eg Micx Mons, Studio Daniel Liebeskind),

Hospitals – nursing homes  (eg AZ Zeno Knokke, ontwerp Boeckx Architects, in consortium with Aaprog and Buro II & ARCHI+I),     Auditioria  (oa Deloitte HQ Auditiorium

Zaventem, Jaspers - Eyers Architects & A2RC Architects) , sport centra  (oa Topsporthal Vlaanderen Gent, AVAPARTNERS) ,  School buildings (eg Vesalius HoGent, MKA Mark Koehler Architect ) …  .

Print Acoustics, a division of Triplaco, is specialised in the development, production and delivery of acoustical timber panels for wall, ceiling, furniture and objects.
