How do our acoustic absorbing solutions function?

We develop our acoustic absorbing panels to absorb and reduce all kinds of annoying noises in rooms. This increases the acoustic comfort, also in areas with larger audiences and a lot of background noise. To improve the acoustic level, the reflection of the noise is reduced, which lowers the reverberation time and level. Sound is converted to mechanical energy (vibration and heat) in the panel or the integrated wool.

Helmholtz resonance
Today, various absorption methods can be used to reduce the reveberation in an area. Our acoustic absorbing panels use the principle of Helmholtz resonance, ideal for lower and middle frequency sounds, f.i. the human voice. The panels of Print Acoustics consist of an MDF core with top layer in HPL, veneer, lacquer of woven vinyl and an acoustic absorbing spun glass fabric on the back or in the middel. The preforation of the panel results in the principle of the Helmholtz resonance, a mass springing system to absorb sound.

Extensive test period
All our solutions are designe in-house. Continuous product development with regards to all details allow us to extend and optimize our range. Before launching the products on the market, they are throughly tested in the reverberation room of an independent acoustic lab. The results are available on request in official European accepted reports.

Installation of type S, F, G, D, Z, T, W

Installation on a single or double wooden frame (hoh 640 mm) with Senso nails. In the openings of the construction you have to include acoustic material, such as Rockwool or Primawool. We advise to leave an opening of minimum 2.5 mm per meter both in height and width, in order to allow the construction to expand.

The nails are included on the front side using a Senco FinishPro 25XP nail system with an adapted head. This machine can be hired or bought at Triplaco. Do use nails type Senco Ref. AX18EAA 42 mm (Code 105795). For the installation of panels type T it is best to use nails with smaller heads Ref AY18EAA 42 mm (Code 105799). For type Z you can also use screws (head diameter of max. 7 mm).

Installation of type I

Installation on a single or double wooden frame (hoh 640 mm) with nails. In the openings of the construction you have to include acoustic material, such as Rockwool or Primawool. We advise to leave an opening of minimum 2.5 mm per meter both in height and width, in order to allow the construction to expand. The nails are included on the front side using a nail system. When the power of the nail system is right, the nails will not be visible on the front side of the panels type I.

Installation of type M, C, B

Installation on a single or double wooden frame (hoh 640 mm) with invisible laths. In the openings of the construction you have to include acoustic material, such as Rockwool or Primawool. We advise to leave an opening of minimum 2.5 mm per meter both in height and width, in order to allow the construction to expand. The invisble laths are screwed onto the back of the panels. These acoustic panels are then hung onto the frame.
